Social Impact Strategies helped me to understand the risks and benefits of ranked choice voting, which is coming to New York City voters in the 2021 elections. Voters and candidates need to learn how to do ranked choice voting so that everyone’s ballots are fully and accurately counted. Social Impact Strategies provides the information that New York City voters need to effectively register their preferences for candidates.

The RCV training provided the best explanation I have received about the system. Many would benefit from this training.

Luis R. Sepúlveda NYS Senator, 32nd Senate District

I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Social Impact Strategies for the training on Ranked Choice Voting, which would be used for elections in New York City next year. The fact that I signed up and participated in the training from Accra, Ghana, where I am presently vacationing, signifies the importance of the training to me, and as a leader in the African Community, needing to understand the process before setting up any civic engagement presentations for the community. While I had heard of RCV, seeing the presentation with the sample ballots - good ones and bad ones, ballots that could be disqualified or not counted, was an eye opener. I certainly learned a lot and look forward to participating in future civic engagements by Social Impact Strategies.

Mohammed Mardah Chairman, African Advisory Council of the Bronx Borough President's Office

Interactive presentation with many opportunities for engagement. My understanding of the RCV process was limited but this workshop crystallized my level of competence. RCV is a new paradigm that is easy to understand but this workshop allows you to dig deeper and explore various strategies to maximize voting strength.

Herman Merritt Political Director

I want to thank Social Impact Strategies for the very informative training you provided regarding Ranked Choice Voting. The presentation and presenters were very clear and extremely easy to follow as well as to understand. All my questions were answered thoroughly and I now feel better informed about this new voting process for us all here in New York City.

On December 7, Mona Davids testified at the City Council's hearing on the Board of Elections and Campaign Finance Board's readiness to implement Ranked Choice Voting (RCV).

Mona's testimony focused on the lack of RCV voter education to New Yorkers in the thirteen months since RCV was approved in November 2019.

Ranked Choice Voting

Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) will become New York City's new voting system for special and primary elections in 2021. Super majority of NYers don't know what RCV is or how RCV works. We must properly educate all NYers. Lack of RCV Voter Education = Voter Disenfranchisement and Voter Suppression
